Ahead of 2027 general elections, Mr. Chukwuemeziem Ekete, human rights advocate, has called on Nigerians to evaluate the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and consider alternative candidates at the ballot.

Ekete cited persistent hardship and living conditions which have nosedived astronomically.

He made the call in a statement which a copy was made available to Diaspora Digital Media.

According to Ekete, it was really troubling that despite the massive support Nigerians gave Tinubu to improve the country’s fortunes, many citizens have continued to deal with hunger, rising living costs and economic difficulties.

Ekete in the statement further argued that Nigeria needs a new driver as it journey through this endless wilderness, and if the condition persist, it justifies revolutionary and secession agents who seek nothing but a new beginning.

The statement reads: “It’s disappointing that after four years of enjoying the support of Nigerians to change the condition of the country, under President Tinubu, hunger and poor living condition persist. Nigerians are suffering immeasurably and should react proportionally with their voters card.

“While going to the ballot to cast our votes once more, it’s important for Nigerians to evaluate and critically assess the situation of the country and judge if it has improved or worsened.

“There are other candidates on the ballot and the judgment of Nigerians should reflect on the ballot. Nigerians should pass a clear message of dissatisfaction, and draw a line on the matter.

“Tinibu enjoyed support he needed to make the country better, but he took the opportunity for granted and his policies have weakened the purchasing power of Nigerians, and further frustrating Nigerians with taxes.
