Terror bandits have attacked a Police Mobile Force (PMF) camp in Tenebo community, within Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing three Mobile Police (MOPOL) officers and injuring two others.
This medium understand that the vicious attack occurred in the wee hours of Saturday at about 3am, when heavily armed terrorists invaded the camp and caught security operatives off guard.
Sources said the attackers, described as coordinated, opened fire on the camp, sparking chaos in the community.
Local residents were thrown into panic as gunfire rang out across the area, forcing many to scamper for safety.
Kwara State Police spokesman, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the incident, noting that full details were still being gathered.
“I regret to confirm that an attack on the PMF Camp occurred in the early hours of today. I will provide more accurate and detailed information shortly,” she said.
