The embattled governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, is currently meeting with members of the state executive council at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The meeting was called following the defection of 27 House of Assembly lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.
The lawmakers earlier today dumped PDP during the sitting of the State House of Assembly which has been polarized after failed attempt to impeach governor Fubara.
