Trump Welcomes Kazakhstan Into Abraham Accords In Historic Expansion

(DDM) – United States President Donald J. Trump has announced that Kazakhstan has officially joined the Abraham Accords, marking the first country to do so during his second term in office.

According to reports monitored by Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) from CNN, Trump revealed the development on his Truth Social platform on Thursday, describing it as a continuation of his administration’s commitment to expanding peace and cooperation between Israel and Muslim-majority nations.

Trump disclosed that he had a “great call” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during which both leaders agreed to strengthen their diplomatic and economic cooperation under the framework of the accords.

Kazakhstan, which already maintains longstanding diplomatic relations with Israel, becomes the latest country to join the peace pact originally brokered in 2020 between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.

Trump wrote, “Kazakhstan is the first country of my second term to join the Abraham Accords, the first of many.”

The Abraham Accords, widely regarded as one of Trump’s most significant foreign policy achievements, were designed to normalize relations between Israel and Arab or Muslim-majority nations, fostering trade, security, and diplomatic collaboration in a historically divided region.

A source familiar with the development told CNN that the White House views Kazakhstan’s addition as “just the tip of the iceberg,” signaling that more nations could soon follow in embracing the accords.

Political analysts suggest that this expansion reflects Trump’s renewed push to position the United States as a key mediator in Middle Eastern and Central Asian diplomacy, while also bolstering Israel’s global alliances.

For Kazakhstan, the move underscores its foreign policy of maintaining balanced international relations, particularly between the West, Russia, and China, while fostering stronger ties with Israel’s innovation-driven economy.

The announcement also comes at a time of renewed geopolitical tension in Eurasia, with observers noting that Kazakhstan’s inclusion could enhance regional cooperation on technology, energy, and counterterrorism.

As Trump continues to emphasize international peace deals as a cornerstone of his presidency, the expansion of the Abraham Accords could redefine U.S. influence in global diplomacy during his second term.
