The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a successful air interdiction in AbbagaJiri, Borno State, targeting terrorists and their structures in the Timbuktu Triangle area.
The operation, conducted under Operation HADIN KAI, was intelligence-led and involved coordinated air strikes to degrade terrorist capability and deny them sanctuary.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarter of NAF, stated that the operation was designed to support ground forces while protecting non-combatants.
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, reported that the strikes were effective, destroying terrorist structures and neutralizing armed elements.
This operation demonstrates the NAF’s commitment to delivering precise airpower in support of ground forces.
It said NAF will sustain pressure until terrorist networks are completely dismantled.
Meanwhile, the NAF has conducted similar operations, including two precision air strikes in Zamfara State’s Tsafe Local Government Area in December 2025, targeting bandit positions.
