Clinton Swears Ignorance of Epstein Crimes Under Oath

Share this:

(DDM) – Former United States President Bill Clinton has denied having any knowledge of the crimes committed by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein during a high-profile deposition that lasted nearly six hours.
The questioning, conducted in Chappaqua, New York, focused on Clinton’s past association with Epstein and sought clarity over lingering public suspicions about the relationship between the two men.

According to sources familiar with the testimony, Clinton described his relationship with Epstein as a “brief acquaintance” and insisted he was unaware of any criminal conduct.

Lawmakers repeatedly confronted the former president with photographs drawn from materials recently released by the US Justice Department.
The images allegedly showed Clinton alongside various women connected to Epstein’s social circle.
During the deposition, lawmakers directly asked Clinton whether he had engaged in sexual relations with any of the women shown in the photographs.

Each time, Clinton firmly denied the allegations, according to two individuals with knowledge of the proceedings.

The panel reportedly presented one particularly notable image showing Clinton seated in a jacuzzi with a woman whose face had been redacted in publicly released materials.
Clinton stated under oath that he did not recognize the woman and denied having any sexual relationship with her.
The deposition marks one of the most significant sworn testimonies involving Clinton since Epstein’s arrest and subsequent death in 2019.

Epstein, who had previously pleaded guilty in Florida in 2008 to charges related to soliciting prostitution from a minor, was later arrested on federal sex trafficking charges.
His arrest reignited global scrutiny over his extensive network of wealthy and influential acquaintances.
Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial, in what authorities ruled a suicide.

His death fueled widespread conspiracy theories and intensified demands for transparency regarding powerful individuals linked to him.
Clinton’s association with Epstein has long drawn attention, particularly after flight logs revealed that the former president traveled on Epstein’s private jet multiple times in the early 2000s.
Clinton has previously acknowledged those trips but maintained they were connected to philanthropic initiatives through the Clinton Foundation.
He has consistently stated that he severed ties with Epstein well before the financier’s legal troubles became widely known.
The Justice Department’s recent release of additional Epstein-related materials has renewed public interest in identifying individuals who appeared in documents and photographs connected to the case.
While appearing in Epstein’s social circles does not in itself constitute wrongdoing, the optics have continued to generate controversy for several public figures.
Legal analysts note that depositions under oath carry significant weight, as false statements could expose witnesses to perjury charges.
The latest testimony adds to a broader congressional effort to examine how Epstein cultivated relationships with politicians, business leaders, and celebrities over decades.
Critics argue that transparency is necessary to restore public trust in institutions shaken by the scale of Epstein’s crimes.
Supporters of Clinton emphasize that no evidence has emerged directly linking him to Epstein’s criminal activities.
They point to the former president’s categorical denials and the absence of formal allegations against him.
Nevertheless, the enduring mystery surrounding Epstein’s network continues to cast a long shadow over individuals once connected to him.

For Clinton, the deposition represents another chapter in a long public career marked by scrutiny and controversy.
As investigations and document releases continue, the broader questions about accountability, influence, and access to power in elite circles remain unresolved.
