Barcelona stormed into the Champions League quarterfinals with a thrilling 7-2 win over Newcastle United at Camp Nou, securing an 8-3 aggregate victory.

The match was a tale of two halves, with Newcastle initially keeping pace, scoring twice through Anthony Elanga, before Barcelona took control.

Raphinha opened the scoring in the 6th minute, and Marc Bernal doubled the lead in the 18th. Elanga’s strikes in the 15th and 28th minutes kept Newcastle in contention, but Lamine Yamal’s penalty just before halftime gave Barcelona the edge.

The second half was a Barcelona masterclass, with Fermín López, Robert Lewandowski (twice), and Raphinha adding to the scoreline.

Lewandowski’s goals showcased his clinical finishing, while Raphinha’s performance earned him the man-of-the-match award.

Barcelona’s dominance was evident, with 63% possession and 13 shots on target.

Newcastle’s defense crumbled under pressure, conceding seven goals for the first time since 2012.
