Sheree Zampino, the former wife of Hollywood actor Will Smith, has taken legal action against American commentator Bilaal Salaam, accusing him of spreading false and damaging claims about her personal life.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Zampino is seeking more than $1 million in damages, alleging that Salaam made defamatory statements about her during a recent media appearance.

The controversy reportedly began after a promotional clip released on May 4, 2026, on the internet show Unwine with Tasha K. In the video, which quickly circulated across social media, Salaam allegedly claimed that Zampino was involved in relationships with multiple individuals within the American entertainment industry.

Zampino’s legal team argues that the commentator repeated and intensified the allegations during the full interview, using what they described as offensive and damaging language about her character and lifestyle.

She maintains that the claims are entirely false and have caused her significant emotional distress, humiliation, and reputational damage.

In the lawsuit, Zampino is suing for slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress, requesting $1 million in compensatory damages, as well as punitive damages and legal costs.
