J Bums Opens Up on Supporting Her Husband Through Job Loss

Entrepreneur and speaker J Bums has shared a deeply personal story about navigating marriage, leadership, and resilience during a challenging period when her husband was unemployed.

Speaking in a conversation hosted by Ife Agoro, she revealed that her husband was out of work for 11 months, during which time he joined her company and earned a salary.

According to her, the period required difficult but necessary adjustments. “He told me we had to cut down our expenses, like selling one out of the two cars and reducing our domestic staff,” she said, highlighting the couple’s willingness to adapt to their new reality.

She explained that she was mindful of her words and actions throughout the period, recognizing that although he was working within her company, he remained her husband and partner.
