Nigerian forex trader Habby Forex has revealed the biggest amount of money he claims to have made and lost in a single day while speaking about his experiences in the foreign exchange market.
According to Habby, his biggest one-day gain was $1 million, a figure he said left him so overwhelmed that he smashed his television because he could not control his emotions.
“The most money I’ve made in a day is $1M. That day I smashed my TV. I couldn’t control myself and I don’t even know how it happened,” he said.
The trader also disclosed that his biggest financial loss came in 2021, when he reportedly lost $76,000 in a single trading period.
“The most money I’ve lost that almost made me go broke is $76K back in 2021,” he added.
Habby also questioned what he described as the negative perception faced by African forex traders, asking why African traders appear to receive criticism from some people.
“Why is it the African forex traders you guys hate?” he asked.
His comments have generated reactions online, with social media users debating the enormous financial swings that can occur in forex trading and the risks associated with attempting to make large returns in volatile markets.
