Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC, has claimed responsibility for an attack on two United States military bases in Jordan.
The IRGC said on Monday that it launched ballistic missiles at the King Hussein and Al Azraq US bases in Jordan.
Iranian state media reported that the attack was carried out in response to a US strike on Iran’s Larak Island.
The claim comes amid escalating hostilities between Iran and the United States, with both sides carrying out military operations against each other.
The IRGC did not provide details on the extent of damage or possible casualties from the reported attacks.
Reuters said the report was based on information published by Iranian media.
The development comes after the United States reportedly struck two Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island, according to a US official.
