A social media clash has erupted between Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday and former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna after the actress publicly criticised the reality star over her frequent online confrontations.
The exchange began after Nkechi Blessing shared a video advising Phyna to tone down her activities on social media and avoid engaging in constant arguments with people online.
In the video, the actress questioned why Phyna appeared to be fighting with almost everyone and urged her to exercise more restraint.
“Phyna, relax… must you fight with everybody? I know say you go come for me oh but number one, I am not your mate. So before you set your camera and try to insult me, just know say I am 37,” Nkechi said.
She went further, saying she had also been involved in online drama in the past but had since changed her approach and found peace.
According to Nkechi, Phyna was becoming a nuisance on Instagram and was trending for what she described as the wrong reasons.
“Try rest. See me now, I used to be a very troublesome person but ever since I stop doing all this internet drama, I have peace,” she said, while advising Phyna to respect herself and listen to people who genuinely want to guide her.
Phyna, however, did not let the comments go unanswered.
In her response, the reality star questioned why Nkechi had suddenly decided to address her publicly, insisting that the two women were not friends and had not maintained any relationship beyond a previous conversation concerning a movie project.
Phyna claimed that Nkechi had previously contacted her about featuring in a film and asked about her availability and fee. She said she later responded and provided the requested details, but Nkechi informed her that another person had already been cast because she did not want to delay the production.
Phyna said that conversation was essentially the end of their interaction and questioned why the actress had now taken their matter to social media.
“Since after that chat, me and you no get any conversation again. So where is all these your nonsense videos coming from?” Phyna wrote in her response.
She also questioned whether Nkechi was seeking attention from the controversy, referring to the actress as “Grandma” and saying she intended to share screenshots of their previous conversation to give her side of the story.
The exchange has since generated reactions across social media, with fans and entertainment followers debating whether Nkechi’s comments amounted to genuine advice from a senior colleague or whether the previous movie conversation had contributed to the public confrontation.
For now, the disagreement has shifted from a warning about Phyna’s online conduct to a wider dispute over their brief professional interaction and what prompted the actress to publicly address the reality star.
