Apostle Joshua Selman has sparked reactions online after claiming that he saw the death of a high-ranking politician in Nigeria.
The founder of Eternity Network International, popularly known as Koinonia, made the statement during a recent message while speaking about what he described as a revelation concerning the politician.
In a video circulating on social media, Selman said he initially struggled with whether to publicly share what he claimed to have seen but eventually felt compelled to speak.
“I’m seeing a high-ranking politician in this nation. His time is up. I’m seeing him going. I’m seeing people gather to bury the person,” he said.
The cleric said he was not making the statement to celebrate the death of anyone, explaining that he believed the message was intended to prepare and comfort the politician’s family.
“The reason why we announce this is not because we rejoice over whatever it is that is happening. It’s so that God will comfort the family, one, and then prepare the heart,” Selman said.
He further stated that, according to what he claimed to have perceived, the situation could not be changed.
“But there’s nothing that can be done. It’s time. It’s over,” he said.
Selman also addressed the possibility of his remarks being interpreted as an attempt to gain attention, insisting that he was not making the declaration for publicity.
“I don’t prophesy to impress. I don’t have that time for all those games,” he said.
He added that the message had remained strongly on his mind, saying, “But the Lord has impressed on my spirit, and it will not let me rest.”
Selman did not identify the politician by name, disclose the person’s political position or provide a specific timeframe for the death he described.
The remarks have since generated discussion across social media, with the video attracting different reactions from Nigerians.
However, the statement remains a prophetic claim by the cleric and does not establish the identity or fate of any particular politician.
