Krissy Marsh has opened up about her experience on The Real Housewives of Sydney, describing the reality series as a “toxic work environment” and revealing why she has no plans to return to the show.
The former cast member made the comments during an intimate dinner event in Sydney, where she was asked about the upcoming reboot of The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
Marsh, who appeared on the original Real Housewives of Sydney, reflected on her experience on the show and suggested that the reality behind the cameras was far more intense than what viewers eventually saw.
“By season three, it was like being in a toxic work environment… you gotta remove yourself from the job,” Marsh said.
She went on to suggest that viewers were not shown everything that allegedly happened behind the scenes.
“If they actually showed what went down… it was bad,” she added.
Despite ruling out a return to the Sydney franchise, Marsh indicated that she would be open to making an appearance on the rebooted Real Housewives of Melbourne.
The reality star also appeared to reveal a major casting development, saying that original Melbourne housewife Chyka Keebaugh would be returning to the franchise alongside Gina Liano.
The reported return of the two familiar faces has generated excitement among fans of the Australian reality franchise, particularly as the Melbourne series prepares for its new chapter.
Marsh’s comments have meanwhile renewed interest in her time on Real Housewives of Sydney and the circumstances surrounding her departure from the franchise.
Her description of the show as a “toxic” workplace reflects her personal experience of the production, while she did not publicly detail all of the incidents she was referring to during the event.
For now, Marsh appears more interested in watching the Melbourne reboot from the sidelines, while leaving the door open for a possible cameo.
