American model and media personality, Amber Rose has announced her decision to withdraw herself from the feminist movement, revealing that she is no longer a feminist.
While opening up on how age and motherhood have changed her perspective, the model explained that her views on gender issues have changed over the years, particularly since becoming a mother to sons.
Amber added that she still supports empowering women and “girl power,” but now has a broader view of gender-related issues.
“As I’ve gotten older and now have sons, I’m no longer a feminist. I still believe in girl power, but I see both sides now,” Rose said.
Meanwhile, Amber’s remarks have sparked reactions online, with some social media users debating her decision to distance herself from feminism, while others said her views may have changed as a result of her experiences as a mother and raising sons.
Rose has previously been vocal about women’s empowerment, body positivity and gender-related issues.
