ENUGU, NIGERIA — A political pressure group, “Vote4Ocho2027,” has announced its transition from online campaigns to offline mobilisation in support of the African Democratic Congress governorship candidate in Enugu State, Ocho Obodoeze Chukwuma.
The group said it is time to meet parents in the villages with the message that Ocho will deliver a new Enugu.
The announcement was made on Friday by the group’s Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Ugochukwu ThankGod. He spoke to journalists at his residence in Oji River.
Going Offline
ThankGod said the group plans to go offline in the coming months. He said members will intensify door-to-door, market-to-market, and church-to-church campaigns for the ADC candidate.
He said the online campaign has been successful. But he stressed that face-to-face engagement is necessary to reach rural communities.
“We have done well online. But now is the time to go to the grassroots. We must meet our parents in the villages. We must tell them that Ocho is the man who will give us a new Enugu,” ThankGod said.
Campaign Strategy
The coordinator outlined the group’s strategy. He said members will be deployed across all 17 local government areas of the state. They will engage with traders, farmers, artisans, and religious leaders.
“We want to reach every household. We want to ensure that every voter knows about Ocho’s vision for Enugu State,” he said.
Ocho’s Vision
ThankGod said Ocho’s manifesto, The Foundation of Redefined Governance, offers a clear plan for the state. He highlighted key areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, and human capital development.
He said Ocho has the competence and integrity to lead Enugu State. He urged residents to support the ADC candidate.
“Ocho is not a politician who will forget the people after the election. He has a track record of service. He will deliver good governance,” ThankGod said.
Call to Action
The coordinator urged residents of Enugu State to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards. He said the 2027 election is an opportunity to change the state’s direction.
“Your vote is your power. Do not sell it. Do not allow anyone to intimidate you. Come out and vote for the ADC, and together, we will build a new Enugu,” he said.
What This Means
The move by the Vote4Ocho2027 group signals the start of grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 governorship election in Enugu State.
The group’s offline campaign will complement Ocho’s own efforts to connect with voters across the state.
For now, the group is focused on building its structure and reaching rural communities. The coming months will reveal whether its efforts will translate into electoral success.
