Lagos: Obidient Mov’t to hold rally for Peter

The Lagos chapter of the OBIdient Movement has announced plans to hold a mega charity rally on July 19 in celebration of Peter Obi’s birthday.

Peter Obi, who ran as the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, remains a strong symbol of good governance and youth inclusion.

To honour him, the OBIdient Movement will take over key parts of Lagos, including Ikeja, Festac, and Lekki, with acts of service.

In a statement issued on Sunday, one of the event organisers, Prince Saviour, revealed that the rally is more than a march it is a movement to reflect the values Obi stands for.

“We’re hitting the streets for the Lagos Mega Charity March,” he said.

“This is a powerful act of love, unity, and service in honour of Mr Peter Gregory Obi a true icon of leadership and compassion.”

The rally will feature free medical care, charity outreach, and orphanage visits. According to organisers, these efforts represent what the OBIdient Movement believes is true leadership serving people directly and compassionately.

Themed “From Compassion to Purpose: Obidients in Action for a New Possible Nigeria,” the event highlights the movement’s commitment to good governance, justice, and accountability in Nigeria.

Organisers are calling on Lagos residents to join in large numbers, emphasizing that participation is an opportunity to make a difference and show solidarity with Obi’s values.

This Lagos rally is part of a broader nationwide initiative by the OBIdient Movement. Similar events will take place simultaneously in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, giving the rally national significance.

Peter Obi, known for his modest lifestyle and strong advocacy for youth empowerment, continues to inspire millions across Nigeria.

His supporters believe that he represents a new type of politics clean, service-driven, and people-centered.
