Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has threatened to take legal action against a popular Nigerian blog, accusing the platform of misrepresenting her social media content and damaging her reputation.

The actress made the allegation via her Instagram page, where she expressed frustration over what she described as a long-standing pattern of distortion and exploitation of her brand. According to Ade, the blog recently merged a TikTok video announcing the birth of her child with an unrelated comment, thereby altering the original context of her message.

“I have given you several passes and warnings, even as recent as last year… you will have to prove to the court why you merged two separate posts and comments,” she wrote. “Does this even make any sense? But not to worry, I’m coming for you. I play by the book, and you’re about to find out the hard way.”

Ade further claimed that the blog has been targeting her for over a decade, allegedly using her name and content to drive traffic and revenue without regard for accuracy.

The actress, who recently welcomed her daughter, Baby Sal, stated that she is now prepared to pursue the matter legally, emphasizing her readiness for a prolonged court battle if necessary.

Her stance highlights growing tensions between public figures and digital media platforms in Nigeria, where issues of content manipulation, click-driven narratives, and reputational harm continue to spark debate.

Media analysts note that the outcome of such disputes could have broader implications for accountability and ethical standards in online publishing, particularly in an era dominated by viral content and rapid information sharing.
