Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a bigwig of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State, Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, on Friday, convened a consultative meeting with party stakeholders in Okon Development Ward 2, Eket Local Government Area.

The meeting, held in his Okon Eket residence, had in attendance the members of the ward’s executive committee led by its Chairman, Dick Clement Dick, and Hon. Abasiama Akpan, Councillor representing Okon Development 2/Majority Leader of Eket Legislative Council.

Addressing the gathering, Apostle Nkono, who was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs Etieno Nkono, urged members to close ranks and work for the progress of the APC in the area.

Calling for unity, love, and cordiality among ward executives and members, Nkono, who represents Akwa Ibom State in the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), insisted only a united front would guarantee the party’s successes during and after the 2027 polls.
