Organisers said the event will provide a platform for networking and collaboration. It will also showcase innovative green projects in the creative sector.

Why It Matters

The creative industry is a significant contributor to West Africa’s economy. It employs millions of people. It also shapes culture and public opinion.

However, the industry also has an environmental footprint. Productions consume energy and resources. They also generate waste. The summit aims to address these challenges.

“The creative industry cannot afford to ignore the climate crisis. We must find ways to make our work more sustainable. This summit is a step in that direction,” an organiser stated.
