Grammy-Winning Singer Talay Riley Dies After Fatal Stabbing in East London

British-Nigerian singer and songwriter Talay Riley has died at the age of 35 following a fatal stabbing incident in East London, United Kingdom.

Riley, whose real name is Mark Yinka Orabiyi, was a Grammy-winning, multi-platinum-selling songwriter known for his work with several international artists.

According to reports, the incident occurred at about 9 a.m. on Friday on Pankhurst Avenue in Silvertown, East London. Emergency services rushed to the scene and attempted to save him, but he was later pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives have since launched a murder investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

In a statement confirming the tragic news, Riley’s family expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their loved one.

“It is with overwhelming sadness that we confirm that Mark ‘Yinka’ Orabiyi, professionally known as Talay Riley, passed away yesterday morning,” the family said.

They described him as a talented artist whose music career brought him international recognition, noting his achievements as a Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling songwriter and performer.
