A shocking case of child abuse has sparked outrage after a woman was sentenced to life imprisonment for brutally assaulting her underaged house help.
According to reports, the woman allegedly poured hot water on the young girl’s hands after accusing her of licking soup. The burns were so severe that the victim’s fingers were badly damaged.
Disturbingly, the injuries were left untreated for a prolonged period, leading to severe infection and eventual deterioration of the affected area. Medical intervention later required the damaged part to be cut off to prevent further harm.
Neighbors reportedly intervened and rushed the girl to the hospital after discovering the extent of the abuse.
Further investigations revealed that the victim had also suffered repeated assaults, including injuries inflicted with melted candle wax on her back.
The court, upon reviewing the case, found the woman guilty of attempted murder and handed down a life sentence.
The incident has since triggered widespread condemnation, with many calling for stronger enforcement of child protection laws and stricter penalties for domestic abuse.
Advocates are also urging the public to remain vigilant and report signs of abuse, especially involving vulnerable children in domestic settings.
