Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for a drone and missile attack on a military base in southern Saudi Arabia.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group targeted the Sharurah military base, including its weapons depots and command centres.

Saree, in a post on X, said the facilities were “managing the aggression against our nation and people.”

The Houthis did not disclose when the alleged attack took place.

The claim comes amid increased clashes between the Houthis and Yemeni government forces backed by Saudi Arabia.
