The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, with 3,852 applicants selected from a total of 573,680 applications.
Announcing the development in Abuja on Tuesday, Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, described the exercise as one of the most competitive recruitment processes in the Service’s history.
According to the NCS, successful candidates were selected across three entry cadres: 1,275 in the Superintendent Cadre, 367 in the Inspectorate Cadre, and 2,210 in the Customs Assistant Cadre.
How to check the final recruitment list
Candidates who participated in the exercise are advised to:
1. Visit the official Nigeria Customs Service recruitment portal.
2. Open the 2024/2025 recruitment announcement and search for their names on the published final list.
3. Check the email address and phone number used during registration for further instructions from the Service.
Next steps for successful candidates
Candidates whose names appear on the list are required to:
Log in to the designated NCS update portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address.
Upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness issued by a government-recognised hospital.
Update their current state of residence on the portal.
Accept their provisional appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.
The Nigeria Customs Service directed successful applicants to complete the online updates, including uploading their medical certificates, on or before Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
After completing the required processes, candidates will receive a Trainee Identification Number, while further details on documentation, physical screening, dates, venues and other onboarding requirements will be communicated through the Service’s official channels.
