Media personality Layole Olatogun has reacted to the ongoing #FreeJuma campaign by some Tanzanian fans calling on Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo to “free” her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The campaign gained attention after fans noticed that Jux appeared slimmer than before, with some social media users expressing concern over his physical appearance and jokingly blaming his marriage to Priscilla.
Reacting to the online conversation, Layole appeared to dismiss the calls for Jux to be “freed,” reminding fans of the elaborate wedding celebrations that surrounded the couple’s marriage.
“We didn’t hold six weddings for no reason. Juma Jux is not going anywhere,” Layole said.
Her comment has generated amusement among social media users, with many joining in the playful exchange between Nigerian and Tanzanian fans over the couple.
Priscilla had earlier responded to similar comments with the cheeky remark, “second belle don enter,” suggesting that her husband’s slimmer appearance was nothing for fans to worry about.
Juma Jux has also previously addressed concerns about his weight loss, reportedly maintaining that he is comfortable and happy with his current physique. His sister, Fatima, has likewise defended his transformation.
The #FreeJuma campaign has therefore become more of a social media talking point, with supporters of the couple pushing back against what they consider unnecessary commentary about Jux’s body and marriage.
Layole’s latest response has added another humorous twist to the discussion, as fans continue to debate whether Tanzanian supporters will finally accept that Juma Jux is firmly settled in his marriage to Priscilla Ojo.
