A fire has broken out at the Bono Energy Terminal in the Coconut area of Olodi Apapa, Lagos State, prompting an emergency response from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
The agency confirmed the incident on Friday through its spokesperson, Shakiru Amodu, who said firefighters were at the scene working to contain the blaze.
“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently curbing a fire explosion at Bono Energy Terminal on Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, by Coconut, Olodi Apapa, Lagos. Update to follow,” the statement read.
The cause of the fire had not been determined as of the time of filing this report.
Emergency responders remain at the scene as efforts continue to bring the situation under control.
