Former Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, has died at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
His family announced his death in a statement signed by Toju Andre Uduaghan on Monday, October 19, 2026.
In the statement, titled “Announcement of the Passing of His Excellency, Dr Chief Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan,” the family described his death as devastating, saying it was a major loss to Delta State and Nigeria.
Uduaghan was born on October 22, 1954.
