The Governor of Nasarawa State, Mr. Abdullahi Sule, has announced the dissolution of the state executive council, terminating the appointments of all commissioners and the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Muhammad Aliyu-Ubamdoma.
Also, he relieved all senior special advisers, special advisers, and personal assistants of their duties.
This was disclosed during an emergency executive meeting held at the Government House in Lafia on Friday, shortly after Vice President Kashim Shettima concluded his one-day working visit to inaugurate projects in the state.
A senior government official, who doesn’t want to be quoted, revealed that the reasons for the governor’s decision remain unclear.
Though, the source noted that Governor Sule has a history of restructuring the state’s administrative framework to enhance efficiency.
In 2021, he dissolved the state executive council, citing the need for a more effective governance structure.
“As this development unfolds, residents of Nasarawa State are eager to understand the implications and what lies ahead for the administration’s future,” the source added.
