United States President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he had canceled planned military strikes against Iran after receiving indications that diplomatic efforts to end the conflict had gained approval from Tehran’s top leadership.
In a post on X, Trump revealed that discussions aimed at resolving the crisis had advanced significantly and were now entering what he described as the final stage of negotiations.
