Juventus Target Richarlison in €25m Tottenham Transfer as Kolo Muani Talks Stall

Juventus have intensified their search for a new striker ahead of the 2026–27 Serie A season, with Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison emerging as one of the club’s top transfer targets should negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani fail.

The Italian giants are determined to strengthen their attacking department this summer as they prepare for a new campaign under an ambitious rebuilding project. While Kolo Muani remains Juventus’ preferred option, Richarlison has now become a serious candidate following productive discussions between officials from both clubs.

Reports from Italy indicate that communication between Juventus and Tottenham has increased significantly in recent weeks, opening the door for a potential deal that could see the Brazilian international return to continental football.

Juventus Consider Richarlison Deal

Richarlison is entering the final stages of his Tottenham career after another season filled with flashes of brilliance but also periods disrupted by injuries and competition for places.

The Brazilian forward, who joined Spurs from Everton in the summer of 2022, remains one of the Premier League’s most experienced attackers. His ability to play as a central striker, left winger or right winger makes him an attractive option for Juventus, who are looking for greater flexibility in attack.

Italian reports suggest Tottenham would be willing to negotiate if an offer between €20 million and €25 million arrives before the close of the transfer window. With Richarlison approaching the final phase of his current contract and no agreement on an extension believed to be imminent, Spurs could decide this is the ideal time to cash in.

Juventus executives reportedly view the transfer as a financially sensible opportunity to acquire an established international striker at a relatively affordable fee.

Kolo Muani Remains the Priority

Despite the growing interest in Richarlison, Juventus have not abandoned their pursuit of French international Randal Kolo Muani.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker remains the club’s first choice to spearhead the attack. However, negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain have reached a difficult stage as the Ligue 1 champions continue to demand a higher transfer fee than Juventus are currently prepared to pay.

Juventus are understood to have submitted an offer worth around €40 million, while PSG are holding out for approximately €50 million.

Should both clubs fail to bridge the valuation gap, Juventus are expected to immediately accelerate discussions for Richarlison, who has moved to the top of the club’s alternative shortlist.

Other names reportedly being monitored include Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth and Monaco and United States international Folarin Balogun.

Richarlison’s Career Journey

Richarlison has built a reputation as one of Brazil’s most hardworking forwards.

Born in Nova Venecia, Brazil, the striker began his professional career with America Mineiro before earning a move to Fluminense. His performances quickly attracted Premier League attention, leading to a transfer to Watford in 2017.

After just one impressive season, Everton secured his signature, where he became one of the club’s most consistent attacking players. Across four seasons at Goodison Park, Richarlison developed into a fan favourite thanks to his relentless pressing, aerial strength and ability to score important goals.

His performances also earned him regular selection for Brazil, where he became one of the stars of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after producing several memorable goals, including his spectacular bicycle kick against Serbia.

Since joining Tottenham, Richarlison has experienced mixed fortunes due to injuries and fierce competition for attacking positions. Nevertheless, he still managed to contribute 12 goals last season, demonstrating that he remains capable of delivering at the highest level.

At 29 years old, Juventus believe he possesses the experience and winning mentality needed to thrive in Serie A.

Juventus Also Pursuing Goalkeeping Reinforcements

Discussions between Juventus and Tottenham have not been limited to attacking reinforcements.

The Turin club are also monitoring Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario as they continue evaluating options between the posts.

Vicario’s future at Tottenham has become the subject of speculation following increased competition within the squad, and Juventus are believed to be interested in bringing the former Empoli goalkeeper back to Italy.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez also remains under consideration. The Argentine World Cup winner has long been admired by Juventus, although negotiations with Villa have proven difficult due to differences in valuation.

What Richarlison Could Bring to Juventus

Richarlison’s versatility is one of his biggest strengths.

Unlike many traditional centre forwards, the Brazilian is comfortable operating across the entire front line. His aggressive pressing, physical presence, aerial ability and willingness to defend from the front fit the tactical demands often associated with Italian football.

Juventus are seeking experienced players capable of making an immediate impact while also providing leadership to a squad blending youth with established internationals.

If the Kolo Muani negotiations ultimately collapse, Richarlison could quickly become Juventus’ marquee attacking signing of the summer.

With several weeks still remaining in the transfer window, the coming days are expected to be decisive as Juventus continue discussions with Tottenham while simultaneously attempting to reach an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.

Whether the Old Lady eventually secures Kolo Muani or turns to Richarlison, one thing is clear: Juventus are determined to enter the new season with a significantly strengthened attack capable of challenging for domestic and European honours.
