Ibe Kachikwu hands over to Maikanti Baru as NNPC GMD

In an official ceremony today at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation [NNPC] headquarters, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu handed over to Dr. Maikanti Baru as the new GMD.

In his outgoing speech, Dr. Kachikwu thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the opportunity given to him to serve as GMD of the Corporation.

He further reiterated his commitment to support Dr. Maikanti Baru to ensure that the aspirations of the new NNPC is achieved.

Dr. Kachikwu highlighted some of the great successes achieved in the Corporation in the past 11-months and called for continuity.

While seeking for the support of Dr. Maikanti Baru, he encouraged the entire management team to work as partners in progress.

Kachikwu also called on the Management & Staff of the Corporation to work assiduously towards achieving the aspirations of the new NNPC.

The junior Petroleum Minister urged the management and staff of the corporation to be focused and embrace synergy and team work for business growth.

Dr. Kachikwu in his usual charismatic manner, closed his speech with a recitation of the NNPC Pledge Mantra:

Dr. Maikanti Baru, GMD of the Corporation, giving his acceptance speech, commenced by commending the charisma of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

Dr. Baru pledged his commitment to sustain the ongoing restructuring of the corporation with particular reference to the 20-fixes.

He called for the support and partnership of Dr. Kachikwu in ensuring that the aspirations of the new NNPC is achieved.

Dr. Baru pledged his commitment to transparency and accountability in the drive to reposition NNPC and sustain existing gains.

The GED/COO Corporate Services, Mr. Isa Inuwa commended the leadership of Dr. Kachikwu, while giving a goodwill speech.

The GED/COO Gas & Power, Mr. Saidu Mohammed commended the assiduous manner that Dr. Kachikwu carries out his assignments, in his speech.
