Kelechi Iheanacho is enjoying a remarkable revival in Turkey, with the Nigerian striker turning into one of the hottest goal scorers in the country after finding the net in six consecutive matches for Bursaspor.
The Super Eagles forward continued his sensational run on Monday night, scoring twice as Bursaspor came from behind to defeat Manisa 2–1 away from home. The brace not only secured three valuable points for his team but also extended Iheanacho’s scoring streak to six straight games.
It was another night in which Iheanacho showed exactly why he remains one of Nigeria’s most naturally gifted forwards.
Bursaspor initially found themselves chasing the game after Manisa took the lead through Cheikne Sylla in the 20th minute. The home side appeared to have made the perfect start, but their advantage lasted only seven minutes.
Iheanacho responded in the 27th minute, restoring parity for the visitors and immediately putting Bursaspor back into the contest.
The Nigerian was not finished.
With the match still finely balanced, Iheanacho produced another moment of quality to complete his brace and turn the game completely in Bursaspor’s favour. His second goal was particularly impressive, as he worked his way past several defenders around the edge of the penalty area before calmly firing beyond goalkeeper Vedat Karakuş and into the bottom corner.
It was the kind of individual effort that demonstrated the confidence currently flowing through the striker.
For Iheanacho, this is no ordinary purple patch.

Iheanacho spent last season with Celtic after previously having spells at Sevilla and Middlesbrough, but his move to Turkey has given him a fresh platform to rediscover the consistency that once made him one of the most exciting young forwards in European football.

His debut for Bursaspor immediately hinted at what was to come. The Nigerian scored and provided an assist as his new club defeated Bodrum FK 2–0 away from home, making an instant impact on his Turkish adventure.
