ILORIN, KWARA STATE — The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed strong support for the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 general election, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, describing him as competent, experienced, and well prepared to lead the state.
The state chairman of the APC, Sunday Fagbemi, defended the emergence of Danladi-Salihu as the party’s flagbearer, stating that the decision reflects the collective will of party stakeholders and the need for continuity in governance.
Fagbemi noted that the party conducted its internal processes in line with established democratic procedures, adding that the selection of Danladi-Salihu was based on merit, political experience, and his track record in public service.
He expressed confidence that the governorship candidate possesses the capacity to sustain and improve on the developmental strides recorded under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration.
