The Federal Government has unveiled 65 investment projects valued at $78.5 billion as Nigeria intensifies efforts to attract foreign capital and strengthen economic growth.

The opportunities were presented at an investors’ forum during the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 14, 2026.

To support the initiative, the government is developing a dedicated investment Deal Room where prospective investors can access project details, funding requirements and information needed to make investment decisions.

Idris Bellow Osagie, Special Adviser on Economic Strategy to the Minister of Finance, said the platform would connect investors with project sponsors and relevant government officials, making it easier to identify and finance viable opportunities.

The 65 projects cover key sectors, including energy, transportation, manufacturing, mining, agriculture, technology and healthcare. The government estimates that the investment pipeline could generate approximately 366,763 jobs.

Energy and transportation account for a significant portion of the proposed investments, with 17 major projects requiring about $72.3 billion in capital.

The government is also offering incentives to attract international businesses, including provisions for 100 per cent foreign ownership in most sectors, repatriation of capital and profits, and tax benefits for qualifying investments.

According to DDM News, the initiative forms part of Nigeria’s broader efforts to improve investor confidence and attract long-term funding into critical sectors of the economy.

However, government officials acknowledge that challenges such as electricity shortages, regulatory bottlenecks and inconsistent business policies must be addressed to sustain investment interest.

Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele has also highlighted the need for improved regulatory efficiency, better infrastructure and policies that encourage businesses to expand their operations.

The Federal Government hopes the Deal Room will make Nigeria’s investment opportunities more accessible while connecting available capital with projects capable of supporting industrial development, employment and economic expansion.
