OPay has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that the fintech company will suspend operations from Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The viral message alleged that OPay would embark on an indefinite shutdown and stop processing transactions and account-related services, urging customers to withdraw their funds.
However, OPay described the report as false and malicious, assuring customers that it has no plans to stop its operations.
“OPay is not going on break by September. We’re here, and we’re going nowhere!” the company said in a social media post.
The fintech urged customers to disregard unofficial information and verify claims through its official communication channels before taking any action.
