In a unified display of solidarity and determination, the Orba Concerned Citizens (OCC) have emerged from an emergency meeting and issued a powerful statement in support of the Elders Council — the Oha Orba under the leadership of HRH Eze Simeon Okechukwu and their groundbreaking multidimensional approach to curb the wave of nefarious crimes plaguing the community. The influential youth group has warned those engaging in campaign of calumny against the initiative to immediately desist from their actions or face prosecution.
The Elders Council of Orba Community in Udenu LGA, Enugu State, recently unveiled their comprehensive plan to combat the alarming rise of criminal activities perpetrated by cultists and miscreants within their midst. Acknowledging the diverse religious beliefs of the community, the council proposed that Africa Traditional Religionists employ their unique methods involving deities and shrines, while Christians utilize their own approaches in this fight against crime.
Upon hearing the Elders Council’s proposal, the Orba Concerned Citizens wasted no time taking action. Gathering for an emergency meeting, the youth group debriefed on the plan presented by the council and shared their unanimous support for this bold and inclusive strategy.
“The Elders Council’s holistic approach represents a milestone in our collective quest for peace and security,” declared in a Press statement released by a representative from CCO. “We recognize the importance of leveraging the strengths and customs of diverse religious groups in Orba Community to combat the vices that have plagued us for far too long.”
However, amidst this groundbreaking initiative, negative propaganda have emerged from individuals perceived as suspects of crimes within the community. These individuals, acting against the spirit of unity and progress, have voiced their discontent with the proposed approach. The Orba Concerned Citizens have swiftly responded to their resistance, cautioning them to halt their actions immediately.
“We hereby warn those protesting against the Oha Orba’s initiative to desist from their misguided actions,” emphasized the OCC representative. “The arm of the law will not hesitate to ensure that justice is served should these individuals persist in their criminal behavior.”
The youth group’s firm stance indicates their unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of their community. They firmly believe that a united front, encompassing all religious beliefs and promoting shared responsibility, is the key to eradicating criminal elements that threaten the peace and progress of Orba Community.
They have called upon both law enforcement agencies and religious leaders to rally round the holistic crime control and prevention strategies initiated by the Elders Council. They urge Orba indigenes and settlers alike, to work hand-in-hand, setting aside religious differences for the greater good of the community.
They further asked the detractors and their social media urchins to stop their blasphemous profanation of the sacred name of their illustrious son and immediate past executive governor of Enugu state — Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who is the greatest ambassador of peace and unity from the community.
In closing, the OCC representative rallied the community by stating, “Let us stand united against the scourge of extrajudicial killings, kidnapping, blue murder, terrorism and sundry crimes, demonstrating our determination to restore peace, security, and prosperity to our beloved Orba Community. Together, we will prevail!”
With the Concerned Orba Youths lending their voice and support to the Elders Council’s groundbreaking initiative, Orba Community stands poised for a transformative journey towards a future free from the clutches of crime, where unity and mutual respect prevail.
