The governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti has paid N25 million to the hospital treating actress Ngozi Nwosu, fulfilling his pledge to support her medical expenses.
The 62-year-old actress recently appealed to the public for financial assistance over an undisclosed health condition.
She revealed that she requires three surgeries and needs N30 million to cover the total cost of the procedures.
J Martins, the governor’s senior special assistant on tourism and entertainment, announced the donation post via X.
He confirmed that Otti had directed the payment to the hospital’s account and thanked the governor for his generosity.
“Payment made to the hospital. Yesterday before the close of work, His Excellency @alexottiofr our pragmatic leader made good his promise, directing a 25M payment to the hospital’s account where our Nollywood legendary actress Mrs Ngozi Nwosu is receiving treatment,” the post reads.
“We thank you immensely for your support and kindness of heart sir. History will be kind to you.”
