VIDEO: Panic in Katsina as Governor Radda Escapes Death in Shocking Car Crash

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda escaped serious injury after his convoy was involved in a road accident along the Daura-Katsina Road on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

The governor was on an official assignment when the incident occurred. His Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, confirmed the news in a public statement on Monday, July 21.

Despite initial concerns, the governor remains in good condition and only sustained minor injuries.

According to his media aide, Radda has since undergone preliminary medical checks and is being monitored as a precaution.

In a short video recorded from his residence, Governor Radda addressed citizens and well-wishers.

He thanked Almighty Allah for preserving his life and appreciated the outpouring of prayers and support.

“Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Dear brothers and sisters of Katsina State and beyond, we are deeply grateful for all your prayers and concern,” he said.

“By the will of Allah, we were tested with a car accident—but Alhamdulillah, we came out safe and unharmed.”

The governor also confirmed he was in high spirits and under medical observation “just to make sure everything is fine.”

His remarks helped calm fears that the incident may have left him seriously injured.

Mixed Reactions from Citizens

Shortly after the news broke, several residents took to social media to express their concerns and prayers.

Many were relieved to hear from the governor himself and praised the quick medical response.

Although details about the cause of the crash remain unclear, sources within the government said the convoy had encountered a sudden obstruction along the route.

The accident highlights the ongoing risks that government officials face while carrying out duties, especially in areas with poor road infrastructure.
