Former Kogi East Senator Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja has married a new wife, with a video from the wedding ceremony attracting attention on social media.
Ocheja, a former member of the Nigerian Senate, exchanged marital vows with his new bride during a white wedding held in Abuja on September 19, 2026.
A video from the ceremony showed the former senator and his bride dancing together as family members, friends and other guests joined in the celebration.

Ocheja was born on April 3, 1956, according to biographical records cited by PUNCH, making him 70 years old in 2026. He is a lawyer and politician from Idah in Kogi State.
He represented Kogi East Senatorial District in the Senate from 2011 to 2015 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ocheja was a member of the 7th National Assembly and served on several important Senate committees during his tenure. His committee assignments included Defence and Army, Appropriation, Gas, Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, and Privatisation.
Before entering elective politics, Ocheja built a career in law. He studied law at Ahmadu Bello University and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982.
His political journey later saw him move from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress, where he remained active in Kogi State politics.
