Satellite imagery from the New York Times shows damage to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s compound in Tehran after an Israeli airstrike.
An Israeli official confirmed Khamenei was among several senior Iranian leaders targeted, but the outcome is unclear.
Khamenei’s current whereabouts are unknown, with reports suggesting he was moved to a secure location before the strike.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) launched a “preemptive strike” on Iran, targeting military and regime sites, including Khamenei’s offices.
Iran has vowed retaliation, launching missiles towards Israel and US interests in the region.
