A public fallout has erupted between reality TV star Phyna and streamer Davrel, drawing widespread attention across Nigeria’s online entertainment space.
The dispute began after Phyna accused Davrel of failing to pay her personal cameraman, whom she reportedly connected to him for a project linked to music star Davido. According to her, despite completing the job, the cameraman has yet to receive his payment, prompting her to publicly call out Davrel and demand accountability.
Davrel, however, responded during a livestream with a series of counterclaims. He alleged that Phyna had previously reached out to his father for assistance during a difficult period and further claimed she made personal advances toward him, which he said he rejected due to his marital status. He also suggested that she had faced warnings about her career from content creator Carter Efe.
Phyna has strongly denied all allegations, labeling Davrel’s statements as false and defamatory. In her response, she dismissed his claims, made remarks about his personal background, and maintained her stance that the cameraman must be paid. She also hinted at possible legal action if the accusations persist.
The back-and-forth has since sparked intense reactions online, with fans and observers dissecting each claim and counterclaim. As the situation continues to unfold, the controversy highlights ongoing concerns around professionalism, financial transparency, and personal boundaries within Nigeria’s fast-growing digital content industry.
