A plane carrying the Manchester City squad was forced to abort landing after encountering strong crosswinds on the runway.

Man City flew out to Lisbon to take on Sporting in the Champions League, returning with a five-goal cushion heading into the second-leg.

Pep Guardiola won’t only be thankful for the result, but he’ll also be thanking his lucky stars that his players completed the trip unharmed.

The jet, which was landing back in the UK, was caught in strong crosswinds caused by Storm Dudley.

The pilot was forced to abandon the landing and stick the power back on, which isn’t uncommon, but it’s really scary to watch.

You can only imagine how the Man City players on board the plane will have been feeling!
