Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder of Champions Royal Assembly, delivered a compelling sermon that has sparked reflection.

The message, aired via his YouTube channel, urged a cultural shift in how society appreciates influential individuals, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathers.

He criticized the tendency to celebrate people only after their death rather than during their lifetimes.

Iginla used notable figures such as T.B. Joshua to illustrate this widespread societal issue.

“People now value T.B. Joshua after he died,” Iginla said. “They didn’t value him when he was alive.”

He extended his critique beyond religious figures, citing Nigerian political giants such as Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and M.K.O. Abiola.

Both Yar’Adua and Abiola received significant recognition only after their deaths, Iginla noted.

“We celebrate death,” Iginla lamented. “But we don’t celebrate people in their lifetime.”

This highlighted the troubling trend of delayed appreciation, which deprives individuals of affirmation while they are still alive.

Iginla’s sermon was not just a critique; it was a passionate call for cultural change.

He urged Nigerians to embrace a new mentality that values people during their lifetime, not after they’re gone.

“Appreciate those who add value to your life,” Iginla advised, calling for active, present-tense gratitude.

He emphasized that acknowledgment should be ongoing, not just reserved for funerals or memorials.

Taking his message further, Iginla appealed to married couples to recognize each other’s efforts and value.

He encouraged wives to appreciate their husbands beyond their perceived flaws.

This message focused on showing gratitude within intimate relationships, making it even more personal and impactful.

Prophet Iginla’s words resonated deeply with many, encouraging positive influence within both family and society.

The sermon has since gained widespread attention, sparking conversations on social media.

It serves as a timely reminder to celebrate greatness in the present rather than waiting until it’s too late.

Prophet Iginla’s call to action urges a shift towards ongoing appreciation and acknowledgment of those around us.
