Real Betis produced a stunning late upset at La Cartuja on Friday night, defeating Real Madrid 1-0 in a dramatic La Liga encounter that had everything from a decisive late goal to a spectacular bicycle-kick finish and a heartbreaking penalty miss from Kylian Mbappé.
Troy Parrott emerged as the unlikely hero for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, scoring the only goal of the match in the 81st minute to hand Betis a famous victory and bring Real Madrid’s perfect start to the season crashing down.
