AWKA, Nigeria — The solution governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has unveiled a statue of the legendary African writer, the late Professor Chinua Achebe, in his hometown of Ogidi, describing the occasion as an opportunity to recall the life and times of the iconic literary figure, his place in history, and the lessons to be drawn from his exemplary life.
The event, which was attended by dignitaries, traditional rulers, and members of the Achebe family, marked a significant moment for the people of Ogidi and the wider Anambra community.
