American superstar Tyrese Gibson has announced that he is on his way to Nigeria, describing the country as home and proudly identifying with his African heritage.
The singer and actor shared the update while travelling to Africa, saying he sees himself as more African than American.
“I’m on my way to Africa, I’m coming home. I’m not American/African, I’m African/American. I’m 99 percent African and 1 percent American,” Tyrese said.
The Hollywood star also expressed appreciation to everyone who helped connect him with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy, revealing that he is now heading to Nigeria.
“Thanks to everyone who connected me to Burna Boy. I’m going to Nigeria,” he added.
