A resurfaced video featuring Nigerian activist and influencer VeryDarkMan has sparked fresh debate online after he claimed he was once offered ₦50 million to support a political campaign linked to Davido.

In the clip, which dates back to 2022, VeryDarkMan alleged that Davido and his associates approached him multiple times with an offer to promote the campaign of Ademola Adeleke during the Osun State gubernatorial race. Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle, went on to win the election.

According to VeryDarkMan, he declined the offer despite repeated attempts to convince him. “Davido and his crew promised me 50 million naira to help his uncle campaign, but I rejected it. They begged for days, but I still bounced the offer,” he said, adding that the situation reportedly affected his relationship with the singer.

The resurfaced video has reignited conversations across social media, drawing mixed reactions from fans and observers. Some users, particularly supporters of rival artist Wizkid, mocked the claim and questioned its timing, while others defended Davido, describing such offers as a common feature of political campaigns.

Supporters of VeryDarkMan, on the other hand, praised his decision to turn down the alleged deal, framing it as a stance on personal integrity and independence.

As discussions intensify, the situation highlights the growing intersection between entertainment, influencer culture, and politics in Nigeria especially as the next Osun State election approaches in 2026.

As of now, Davido has not publicly responded to the claim, leaving the matter unverified. Observers note that the story is based on social media content and may continue to evolve as more information emerges.
