ian writer and social commentator Solomon Buchi has launched a scathing verbal attack against media personality Daddy Freeze, accusing him of associating with individuals involved in criminal activities.
Buchi made the remarks while addressing Daddy Freeze in a post shared on social media, where he recalled seeing the media personality at the residence of convicted Nigerian fraudster Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi.
“Daddy freeze, I just want to tell you that you’re a d!sgusting old man. You’re not0riously known for jumping around and frolicking with cr!m!nals. I remember you grinning like a f00l from ear to ear at huspuppi’s house when they’ve served you food,” Buchi wrote.
The post quickly attracted reactions from social media users, with some focusing on Buchi’s harsh choice of words and others debating his reference to Daddy Freeze’s past association with Hushpuppi.
Hushpuppi, whose real name is Ramon Abbas, was sentenced to 135 months in prison by a United States federal court in 2022 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to launder money and other related offences.
Daddy Freeze has previously acknowledged knowing Hushpuppi and has faced public criticism over photographs and videos showing him in the fraudster’s company before Hushpuppi’s arrest.
However, an association or appearance in a photograph does not by itself establish involvement in criminal activity, and Buchi’s comments should be understood as his personal criticism of Daddy Freeze.
The latest exchange adds to the history of public disagreements involving Nigerian social commentators, who have frequently clashed online over religion, morality, relationships and social issues.
Neither Daddy Freeze’s response to Buchi’s latest remarks nor the circumstances that prompted the particular post were immediately clear.
