Nigerian rapper and singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has publicly apologised to fellow music star Seyi Vibez following a recent online misunderstanding that sparked reactions across social media.

The controversy began after Seyi Vibez accused Zlatan of indirectly mocking his Fuji Moto project through ad-libs featured on Adekunle Gold’s track, Life of the Party. The situation escalated when Seyi Vibez took to social media, where he described Zlatan as a “backup artiste” and also criticised his growing focus on fashion entrepreneurship.

Responding to the allegations, Zlatan strongly denied any intention to diss the singer, explaining that the situation was based on a misunderstanding rather than a deliberate attack.

He expressed disappointment that Seyi Vibez would believe he was targeting him in any form, stressing that there was no bad intention behind the perceived reference.

“It actually hurts that my brother thinks I would diss him in any way. It’s literally a misunderstanding. @seyi_vibez it’s all love bro, when you’re ready to talk it out I’m here,” Zlatan wrote.

Following his message, Seyi Vibez accepted the apology but also advised Zlatan to be more mindful of comments that could be misinterpreted as indirect jabs in future interactions.

“Apology accepted, Egbon Adugbo. Please, next time, don’t do ‘backup artiste’ to diss me on a song. Thank you, Zlatan,” Seyi Vibez responded via his X account.

The exchange has since helped to calm tensions between both artistes, with fans praising the maturity displayed by both parties in resolving the misunderstanding.
