Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has shared an emotional reunion with a former friend she had not seen in about 10 years.
The actress reportedly reconnected with the woman, whom she met during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Minna, Niger State.
According to the story shared online, the two women became close friends throughout their NYSC year before life eventually took them in different directions.
The friend later relocated to Canada, and the pair reportedly remained out of contact in person for about a decade.
Years later, with Bimbo Ademoye in Canada, the actress reportedly decided to arrange a surprise reunion rather than simply contact her old friend directly.
She allegedly asked someone to book the woman for a makeup appointment without revealing who the client would be.
The plan was reportedly designed to ensure that her former NYSC friend would have no idea that Ademoye was behind the appointment.
When the actress eventually appeared, the surprise reportedly left the woman emotional, turning what was supposed to be an ordinary makeup appointment into an unexpected reunion between two friends separated by years and distance.
The emotional moment has attracted attention online, with many viewers reacting warmly to the reunion and celebrating the effort Ademoye made to reconnect with someone who had been part of an important chapter of her life.
Their story has also resonated with social media users who have experienced friendships that faded because of distance, relocation and the passage of time.
For Ademoye and her former NYSC friend, however, the decade-long gap appeared to disappear in a moment as they finally came face-to-face again.
